Querying the data on a client's incoming shipment, we see that we are receiving 100 units of Laptop Model A which we know contains LCD ABC and Optical Drive XYZ. The laptops as a whole are a few years old, nearing obsolesce, however, may be marketed overseas. Based on our extensive service parts sales history, industry WTB lists (Want to Buy), and market knowledge, we know that there are warranty obligations for these units, service parts are difficult to find on the open market, and are commanding top-dollar.
Given these factors, we can intelligently suggest to our clients that would yield a higher return if parted out as opposed to selling on a systems level. Our client is happy, agrees, and AGIReverse puts the resources in place to process these units and remarket them the instant they hit our dock doors.
Furthermore, our Cross-OEM software allows us to recognize similarities between components and analyze substitution opportunities both in and outside of the original applications.
Example:
LCD ABC is commanding $200 on the laptop service part market, however, we also know that this particular LCD is also compatible as a replacement part in a high-tech military application with a minor film enhancement. Because of the value of the military device, LCD ABC commands much higher returns within this application, and is remarketed through the appropriate channels.
